A Sweet Island Summer
Summertime on Maui is magic. Sunshine filled days, salty skin, mango juice on your chin, and that easy, breezy rhythm that only island life can bring. Whether you’re soaking up the sun with your toes in the sand or heading upcountry for cool mountain air, summer is for slowing down and enjoying all the good stuff.
Here’s some of our favorites:
- Catch a Beach Day (or 12): Grab your pareo, pack some snacks, and head to your favorite shoreline. Snorkel, surf, paddle board, or kayak. Or just take a dip and get refreshed from the deep blue. We love a long, lazy afternoon, especially with a thermos of iced Hula Girl Hibiscus tea in hand.
- Shave Ice & Smiles: No summer is complete without at least a few shave ice stops. Pro tip: get ice cream at the bottom and add mochi balls.
- Eat Mangos. Lots of Mangos: Juicy, sticky, sweet as summer mangos are in season and should absolutely be devoured straight off the tree.
- Hike Haleakala: Catch sunrise above the clouds or hike one of the crater trails and take in the otherworldly views. Don’t forget your jacket (and maybe a hot tea in your thermos).
-
Hit Up the Farmers Markets: We love finding the freshest produce, local goodies, and best crafts here on island. There's tons of markets to chose from, each with their own sweet lil vibe.
Savor the Slowness
Summer is about more than checking off a list. It’s a time to be. To feel the warmth on your face, to breathe in the salty air, and to savor slow moments, heart wide open. Wherever your island adventures take you, we hope you’re sipping something delicious and soaking in the beauty all around you.
Cheers to mango season, stargazing, and summer days made for slowing down.
